Microsoft’s Global Criminal Compliance Handbook, a 22 page booklet designed solely for police and intelligence services, provides an overview of Microsoft’s online services, what information it collects on users and how long it keeps it. The guide also explains how to serve warrants and how to make sense of the records it stores to understand, for example, when and to who a Hotmail user sent an email.

Redmond’s lawyers used the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in an attempt to force Cryptome to pull the guide, a request it refused, before going to hosting provider Network Solutions. The firm not only complied with this order but went one step further by placing a lock on the Cryptome.org domain to keep the site down.

Cryptome.org remain unavailbel but the site, minus the controversial Microsoft documents, can still be found at cryptomeorg.siteprotect.net.

I was not completely off-line but I reduced the efforts to a minimum. Recreation and preparation work for the exams had the main priority.

What I am going to release next is some kind of a digital bug. It’s a small piece of software you can install permanently on a remote computer and start and stop the microphone recording and listen what the person on the other side of the connection is telling. It was considered once as a bug for room surveillance but was never used that way. So there’s no reason why to keep it any longer in the archive. The release date is not fixed yet but I think it will happen before the approaching begin spring.

The code will be published toghether with a GUI app to customize it and do realistic tests.

BTW … I just stumbled upon this one. Enjoy.

<glossarycode><glossarycode><glossarycode>
There are two smaller but newsworthy changes on the page. The first one are two new groups in the forum. I noticed people are a little afraid of using the forum an hesitate talking about their thoughs and problems with their computers in the public. I created a place where people can introduce themselves, telling something about their person, interests, skills, programming languages they know, their personal projects, etc. I hope this makes it a little easier to make the people start and participate discussions and mainly to dare their first post in the forum.
The second forum in installed is about programmin in general. If you have questions to a specific problem you don’t know how to solve or want to know something about a specific programming language this would be the right place to start a thread.

The megapanzer shop is up. I decided to create a new logo as you probably noticed and I was using these logos also for a basic sortiment in the shop. If I have some time spare I will extend the choice of products.

At the moment I’m strugling with bug fixing Minipanzer. Some minor things have to be improved to make it run more smoothly and it doesn’t crash anymore. The SkypeTrojan doesn’t compile as several people already told me. I will fix the bugs until at least the compiler doesn’t complain anymore. How to use it is not part of the project anymore.

Also several older codes unexpectedly reappeared. I’ve found them while browsing through an old hard disk and stumbled across an old backup file containing the old SkypeTrojan Rootkit, an audio surveillance tool, a keylogger and an SSL tool. As already announced I’ll release these codes soon, too.
</glossarycode></glossarycode></glossarycode>
