Even after investing a lot of time and effort into the whole page the situation itself did not really change. The average visitor count per day stays on the same level after the six months. And also feedback or contributions were rather modest.

I think it is time to move on and bring in changes into the project. So I decided to move closer to the social side of the internet even if it is post modern already.

From now on …

  • I will announce new tools, sources and snippets on the Facebook project page and not on my personal account.
  • If you have questions that are not related to a posting just drop a message.
  • If you have comments, feedback or opinions to a posting you can communicate that directly here inside the Facebook page.

I hope the change brings benefits for everybody and doesnt bother too many of you!

from time to time. And even better : Like It!

I do agree with the comments above, about the code snippets thing. They may be convenient someday, but we don’t spend all time programming and unless we need it, it is not appealing.
If there is something to change, it is the content, not the communication form (blog or facebook or whatever).
I too haven’t seen any really instructive article recently.

On top of that, why choosing Facebook when most people in the security industry avoid going there and simply don’t have an account? We are all on Twitter!

Seriously, please think again, and readjust the content of your posts.

What are you counting? Visitors via Browser or do you calculate RSS-Readers, too? And maybee it’s not that good idea to post C# snippets, because they don’t animate to read/visit ;)

Honstely, at the beginning of your blog it has been really interesting. You’ve posted full sources and interesting snippets. Your gem was the Skype thing…the injector, the recorder etc. This made you interesting somehow… but unfortunately it stayed as a “one-hit-wonder”.

Sadly, the intellectual level dropped significantly. After the Skype things, you posted more or less interesting tools and snippets which then led to more and more uninteresting snippets. So i.e. your C# snippets seem more like “first coding steps” in another language, than being a product of a security engineer.

What bothered me most is that you have quit posting source codes for your tools. It’s evident that you can’t post every single source (for financial or intellectual reasons) but come on… letting it end in a binary distribution service??

Don’t take my criticism too serious now, please. I’m just speaking frankly what I’ve been able to observe over the past time.
