Tool name : StorageDevices

Description : StorageDevices is a small tool to list all storage devices like a hard drive or a USB memory sticks that are connected to your system. It also gives you further details about vendor, structure and software. StorageDevices itself gets these details from the WMI interface as it is much easier to get all these information from one hand and from a standardised interface instead of collecting it from ten different places.

Tested on : Windows XP/Vista/7

Feedback : In case you encounter any problems with the tool, you have suggestions to improve it, or you tested it with a Windows version i’ve not yet tested please drop me an email.

Tested on Windows 7 64 bit. It detected both of my drives with details as well as can be expected. I will be using this tool in the near future. Thank you

  2. Wulfhart says:

One flaw I did see was that the Interface says, “IDE” although both drives are SATA. It did detect my USB drive fine.
