Tool name : FFLogDump 0.1
 
Description : FFLogDump is a tool to access the Firefox 3.* main logfile and extract details about sites the user visited. In this version cookie information, favorites/bookmarks and the browsing history are extracted.
 
Tested on : Windows XP, Firefox 3.5.1
 
Feedback : In case you encounter any problems with the tool, you have suggestions to improve it, or you tested it with a Windows version i’ve not yet tested please drop me an email.

    Where do i need to run this tool? In the application directory with -all will nothing delivered… (Windows XP, Firefox 3.6)

    hrmmm… ok i see the problem. i tested it with FF 3.5.* some things have changed since FF 3.6. i’ll check it and let you know. thanks for the hint.

    or in case someone has still FF 3.5.* installed, would be nice if you could check it and report its behaviour

    hmmm… no. it should work as far as i can see.
    i uploaded a new version which additionally extracts the downloads history now. could you check please if there is any output now?

    I tested the binary and it works great. Pulls up the history no problem, except the “Last visited” is blank. But I suspect that if because I haven’t used Firefox in more than a month or two.

    I attempted to build the source using dev CPP and keep getting Linker errors. It can’t seem to find sqlite3_open, sqlite3_ close, sqlite3_free, or sqlite3_exec. I am not familiar with SQLite in the least bit, which may have something to do with it.

    My machine is Windows 7 64 bit Enterprise with FF 3.6

    I run it on Vista using firefox 3.6. It just flash n dissappeared before even i would able to read what was appearing on the console…
