As my old TV broke down I refused to buy a new one and because I moved into a new flat, beside my new environment, it was just another of many things I had to get used to. My life without a TV. The temptation of watching streams was big but I resisted but soon I’ve found my substitute drug in pod casts. Not the typical news podcast. I was looking for security related material. Here is a list with pod casts I listen regularly. There are of course others of them and in case I forgot one of which you think it’s worth mentioning it just add it yourself by leaving a comment.

This is my favorite podcast. Once a week Paul Asadoorian and Larry Pesce talk about the latest happenings at the IT security front as for example the latest vulnerabilities, exploits, tools and incidents.

Off the hook is a hacker-oriented weekly radio program hosted by Emmanuel Goldstein. The American pendant to the German Chaos radio. Everyone knows it and it has a big historic value to the hacker community (the show exists since 1988 and is affiliated with the 2600 magazine). People say it is worth a listen. So if you like talks about hacking, technology and society, visit their page and listen to their streams.

Phone Losers of America is a hacking/phreaking related podcast that is published rather sporadic. It’s about typical phone phreaking stuff : making free phone calls, boxing, social engineering, etc.
